In the conference, the outcomes of the projects of the students who represented all the directorates of education were exhibited. They revealed the spirit of belongingness, good citizenship, and the ability to innovate by dealing with various local societal issues and presenting proposals and recommendations to be submitted to decision makers.

The Head of the Jordanian Center for Civic Education, Mona Alami, asserted in a speech during the opening of the conference that the ability of the educational system to develop creativity and innovation to support teachers and care for them is the cornerstone in any educational system. Consequently, the educational system can contribute to the progress and development of knowledge. She indicated that the general goal of civic education is to prepare citizens who are committed to their duties and belongingness to their country and nation, defend their rights, and believe in freedom, justice, and equality. Alami pointed out that the Digitization of Civic Education Project started in August 2005 and is working on digitizing 17 lessons. She also said that the Jordanian Center for Civic Education studies, in cooperation with the Digitization Directorate in the Curricula Administration and the Educational Training, Habilitation, and Supervision Directorate, will apply the project in 50 schools.
