A Workshop entitled "Civic Education, Achievements and Ambitions" at Mu'tah University

 

The local community development unit at Mu'tah University and in coordination with the Jordanian Center for Civic Education Studies, arranged a workshop entitled "Civic Education, achievements and ambitions".  The project's coordinator in Al Karak, Ms. Sabah al Nawaiseh, mentioned that the workshop aims to introduce the students at the university to the civic education concept and work on developing the abilities of leadership and contribute in solving the local community problems.  The director of the Jordanian Center for Civic Education Studies, Ms. Mona Al Alami, stressed on the role of the center in reinforcing the participation culture of the universities' students, and encourage them on participating in this activity.  Mr. Mohammed Rabab'a, the Dean of the Educational Sciences Faculty, said that Mu'tah University worked and is still working hard on sustaining community work in order to provide the community the best services that enable it to stay within the frame of growth and development.  The director of the Local Community Development Unit, Mr. Hussein Al Majali, pointed out that Mu'tah University is abided with JCCES through a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in last February.  The Memorandum aims to reinforce civic education and good citizenship culture in the Jordanian community as a whole.
